Project Breakdown

For the gradient animation, I took the four main colours (purple, blue, pink, and red) from the colour scheme made my another member of the team. I put these into a 4-colour gradient in After Effects, and made an animation for the points for each colour to switch with each other, in a rotation fashion. I combined this with a Fractal Noise effect to give the animation a bit more randomness in the way the colours move. To do this, I simply animation the evolution of the effect over time.

Logo animation

For the logo animation, I wanted something simple but effective and not too complicated, as the logo made by another member of the team was very simple, so I thought a simple animation would look nice with this type of logo. I came across a tutorial on YouTube that showed how to make a smooth and clean animation perfect for the logo I was using (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c30CY-zYkP0). The animation included using the virtual camera inside After Effects, which was the main component to make the animation work. The animation also included using CC Light Sweep and Optics Compensation, and even featured the Shift Channels effect to create the shift in the red, green and blue colour channels. I added in the gradient animation for the background and the whole animation was complete. Additionally, I made multiple versions of this animation for different formats (YouTube landscape, Instagram story portrait & Instagram post).
