Project Breakdown

My first priority when I started this video was to do the text and get the timing right, so that’s what I set out to do. This took me quite a while, as I tested out different fonts and had to use trial and error for getting the timing right of each word appearing. Once I had completed this, I added in a wiggle effect to each letter of the text, which gave it a neat looking animation that added to the video.

I then started on the background. For this, I took the image used in the official video STMPD RCRDS posted on their YouTube, and added some effects which gave the illusion that the image moved. These effects were Wave Warp, CC Snowfall and a wiggle. Addtionally, I used CC Radial Fast Blur to create a pulsing animation for the melody of the song. After this, I wanted to do something extra for the drop of the song. I wanted to add lots of extra effects so that the drop was more impactful. The wiggle I had already used got a lot more intense for the drop. I also used the VR Digital Glitch and CC Light Burst 2.5 effects as well as a higher intensity CC Radial Fast Blur for each kick of the beat. Once completed, there were a few tweaks I had to make to get everything perfect, then I was ready to upload.
